The first time I played it was amazing. Replay value is pretty awesome too. However, over time, once you start playing it a bit more, you kind of want more features or options... Perhaps I can hope the developer of this great App will try to evolve it a little more? I sure hope so.

This app is okay, but the bad graphics and lack of good sounds destroy the little I like about it. If you want a good music app, just like this one but sooooo much better, get Beatwave!!!! It incorporates the same idea in a much more efficient and pleasing format, plus the sounds are way cooler. It is a much better designed and more complete app than this one.

Hey. I love this app its simple and fun and can consume tons of minutes I would have spent totally bored! I have one suggestion to expand the useful applications of your app. You should allow us to export our creations as mp3s to an email address. Your app is almost a ringtone creation tool! Thanks!

Im not much of a musician, but Im enough of one to get tired of this app in a few minutes. I probably gave it an hour in total. At that point I felt like it didnt have much left to give. Its one bar, repeated over and over. Four instruments, four moods, a bit of messing with tempo. No, Im not expecting a massive mixer and zillion instruments and so on. But I found it simplistic. I tired of my own compositions quickly. I sorta laughed at the idea that Id want to save one, even the ones that I liked. Maybe Im just rubbish at composing good stuff with it. Heres an idea: preload it with a few demo songs. I will give it this: the sounds are beautiful and the whole concept of moods is a good one. Theyve gone to a great deal of work to hide the complexity of constructing music and just let people fiddle with something that will always sound good. I am not surprised that lots of other folks like it. I found it was played out quickly, though. I started this as a 2-star review, and then i picked up the app and messed with it a bit, to be sure I was remembering details correctly. The next thing I knew, I had made a song I liked. Still not good enough to save, but good enough to correct my rating from 2 to 3 stars. :)

You could add a thing where you name your melodies. And a thing where you put a bunch of melodies together to make one HUGE one!! I have some that I could put together and I really wana see if I can.. Pls! But, its worth 99€ to get the full version! :)

My big complaint is that I can only do 16-note loops. Reading the comments here I also realized that being able to set BPM would be super nice too though.

More sounds, effects, audiopaste. There has not been an update for this app, ever I think. Fun for $1 tho.

This app is amazingly fun to play around with with all the effects you can change and how you can share them with everyone else. However, the only reason why this app isnt 5 stars is because you cant string little snippets together to make a song. Four seconds is not a lot of time to mess around with. If the ability to create really long "songs" (even just like 30 seconds) comes out in an update, this app will be 5 stars for sure.

I enjoy Melodica a ton, its a great app. but I just discovered Beatwave and it does everything Melodica does and more plus its free.

This app is awesome but the only thing I would want in like an update is a longer board to make longer beats or sorngs or whatever their called and a way to hold the notes instead of it being choppy all of the time

But it needs more notes. Make it so that you could write a song with bacground parts and stuff.

It would be awesome if you could load saved melodies and then place them into a full song :) just an idea ;P

Love the app, but it would be great if you could post your melodies on some kind of wall and have people rate them and it would be cool to see other peoples talent!

I LOVE this app. But could you make a way to export to your Mac to put into GarageBand or make a ringtone out of it?

Cool app, but dont buy. Instead, get beatwave. However, if support for longer songs is added, it would become a must buy. The song sharing is a neat feature though. Try 1337!

this app is awesome. very simple, looks awesome, but would be amazing if it were optimized for iPhone 4, and could be very useful if it had computer connection and MIDI capabilities.

works just like a roland ts404 but not much controllability. would love to be able to detune....some tweak knobs. but neat.

Ive been using the free version for a long time and was hoping that since the paid version allowed you to save melodies that those files could be download and converted to ringtone. Alas, no, it saves the melody but best I can tell, theres nothing you can do with it except open it later in Melodica or share it with other Melodica users. Id absolutely love to see a means to turn the melodies into ringtones.
